IASA is a 100% private owned Mexican company with a single infrastructure in the veterinary pharmaceutical trade, with over four decades of experience and support of IDISA Group from which it is part of and also with a growing participation in the national and international veterinary market.

In order to supply integral solutions for the farming industry, IASA annually invests 5% of its income for research, diagnosis and technology generation. The biology laboratory, the quality control laboratory and the new developments laboratory are the entities that IASA uses to perform these tasks. The verification of all our products is done in the laboratory and in larger experimental areas, where trials are performed in field conditions.

The biology laboratory counts with highly qualified personnel in the pathology, virology, serology, microbiology, histology and cellular culture areas among others; the work done by the personnel has official recognition. As for quality assurance, IASA has obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification, with which it seeks to consolidate the excellent results of its activity. On the other hand, new product development is done according to producer’s needs, international and national market’s needs and the advances of the vanguardistic technology that has always characterized the company, such as applicable biotechnology (alternative diagnostic tools, sprinkling administered killed vaccines and hyper concentrated vaccines) and the use of avian immunoglobulins for the prevention and treatment of mammal and bird diseases.

IASA’s interest doesn’t rest on sales only, but also upon the backing and support of its customers, that’s why it develops and commercializes differentiated and specific products that supply a high value cost-benefit ratio. IASA currently produces biologicals, pharmaceuticals and vitamin, mineral and therapeutic premixes. It also commercializes products from widely known world farming industry companies to complement its portfolio.

IASA has established strategic alliances that allow other companies to commercialize IASA’s products in a great number of countries and more of these alliances are sought to fulfill the company’s objectives. Agreements and contracts with other laboratories and research institutions have been signed to supply them with technology and resources for research, the permission and joint research and specialist assessment in nutrition, microbiology and biological production areas.

 

HISTORY

Investigación Aplicada, S.A. de C.V. (IASA) was founded as a company in 1981, but it has its origins back to 1963, when Dr. Miguel Romero Sánchez (rip) joined Romero Group to provide a technical and scientific base that would allow a constant and reliable growth of the chicken and porcine activities carried out by this familiar partnership through a solid vertical integration.

One of the group’s main requirements was to count with high quality intakes and dependable services that would enable its consolidation and growth, reason why Romero S. Hermanos (IASA’s predecessor) started its activities with the formulation and development of balanced feed as well as setting in motion a bromatologic analysis laboratory and an animal pathology and diagnostic laboratory as well. Afterwards facing the need to complement the company’s services with reliable and efficacious veterinary products, a biological and pharmaceutical line of products (product line) was developed and put at the disposal of Romero Group.

When Romero S. Hermanos’s operations grew, the company opened up to the general farming industry, and thus became IASA, company which has maintained a research and development spirit that directs its efforts to the contribution of optimal solutions that improve the farming industry activity as a whole, inspired by the professionalism and dedication Dr. Romero inherited to IDISA Group, partnership from which IASA is currently part of.
